Our Course

Name: Gems and Jewelry Entrepreneurial Development

COURSE INTRO

The master jeweler course gives our students the tools to learn the most important set of knowledge, skills, and techniques for becoming a master jeweler/professional jewelry entrepreneur. The program allows the students to immerse themselves into the world of gemstones and the jewelry industry. A wide and complete range of subjects is smartly designed to engage students in the course of becoming an able jeweler while practicing and expanding their jewelry business pursuits.

Materials

Students learn the basics of gems and jewelry, and precious metals business in depth based on scientifically proven facts. Students will be able to certify the quality of the products with confidence. Furthermore, students will learn and understand the way of Thai life of making gemstones until becoming famous and accepted in the jewelry trade all over the world

 

This course teaches you about gems and precious metals for trades and for issuing gems authentication certificates by yourself with confidence, recognizing the quality of products, and estimating the purchase cost to draft the production and sale plans

 

The subject is delivered by Dr. Surin Intayot and the team.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing program teaches you how to make jewelry until you are able to make, order, and guide craftsmen. You will learn how to manufacture gems and jewelry for the purpose of communicating to craftsmen to understand the principles of production that meet the customers’ orders. The reason is that you must be able to help solve problems at every step of the production process without letting employees make their own decisions. This subject focuses on practical applications in order to know and truly understand the production process, leading to the production process that requires constant technical improvement.

 

This program provides materials as proposals to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the materials in order to plan the creation of jewelry of the highest value while creating the work that looks delicate and natural.

 

The subject is delivered by Mr. Anurat Kmanitthathai, Goldsmith association at Kan Road Royal Goldsmith College, and the team.

Marketing

The marketing subject teaches you the whole system, both retail and wholesale including the Internet trade and export system.

 

You will learn multi-levels of gems and jewelry marketing, from gem and jewelry trades on sidewalks to flea markets to luxury stores. Therefore, the price can range from 10 baht, 100 baht, to 10 million baht, 100 million baht. We will teach you how to market products with the best and most successful route, how to handle returns and exchanges, and how to manage the decoration of the shop.

 

This is a sales planning course that focuses on the highlights of each product and is presented with sincerity while taking the customers’ needs into account. 

 

The subject is delivered by AP. Dr. Niyom Suwandej and the team.

Management

The management course teaches you staff management system, stock management, and integrated trading business management.

 

You will learn about management that includes business plans, investments, stock control, and security, which are based on moral and ethical principles, honesty to yourself and customers, data storage, and emphasis to customers.

 

The subject is delivered by Mr. Kajornatthapol Pongwiritton and the team.

Design

In the design course with clear marketing goals, you will learn how to design jewelry both by hand and computer. After that, you will work on the production into a masterpiece according to your design.

By using the knowledge from 4M to help guide you design that can be produced with delicacy, beauty, dimensions, and natural-like leading to eye-catching and high-value-like jewelry that impresses those who see it; therefore sell well.

 

This subject requires practice and self-improvement at all times. You must have a mindset that there are people who are much better than us in this world.

 

This subject is delivered by Mr. Thanapak Achawakorn, DIR Wichian Mahawan, Dr. Ampa Chiarakittikul, and the team.

Performing an art thesis is to produce a set of jewelry (a necklace, brooch, ring, and a pair of earrings) using all knowledge from 4MD. The set is to be graded, evaluated, and used in a contest.

 

The thesis set is graded by the head professor of all the five subjects.

Exhibition

This is the final subject of the course. GTJ provides materials for students to create a gemstone jewelry set themselves from scratch using the knowledge learned from 4MD. One gemstone jewelry set consists of a necklace, brooch, ring, and a pair of earrings. Once students’ jewelry sets are made, there will be a catwalk exhibition showing to the audience: significant individuals from outside students’ significant others.
